Working in Rock Hill
Rock Hill is where J&E Electric started in 2008 and where most of our jobs are. Inside the city limits, the City of Rock Hill issues electrical permits and does the inspections, and its rules are strict. A homeowner may not do their own electrical remodel or repair work, and adding outlets or lights, or installing or replacing wiring, needs a permit. We pull the permit and meet the inspector.
The city also runs its own electric utility, Rock Hill Utilities, which serves the city and the area around it. If your whole house or business has lost power, or part of it has, the city asks you to call Rock Hill Utilities before you call an electrician, because the fault may be on the utility side of the meter. If it turns out to be on your side, call us.
Service upgrades are the job people underestimate. The city notes that upgrading a home's electrical service triggers other upgrades to the electrical system, so our estimate covers everything the upgrade touches, not just the new panel.
